Visual Instinct: Fashion Talks Returns with Ante Begić and Sven Vranješ
Fashion Talks · Cultural Programme
23 October 2026
On Thursday 22 October Fashion Talks came back for a new season, and the floor was full before the first question. The fifth edition was called Visual Instinct. Karla Zelić, who hosts the series, sat down with Ante Begić and Sven Vranješ, two Zagreb art directors whose work runs from Nike, Speedo and Formula 1 to brand identities, pop-ups and campaigns.
The set was built for the evening. The Camaleonda in the middle of the floor for the host, the Togo for the guests, a Panthella lamp behind the sofas, the whole stage washed in pink and red, and a Brillo Bearbrick keeping Karla company. The bar ran before and after, and the photographs here are from the night itself.

The conversation stayed on what the title promised: how taste develops, when a decision is made by eye rather than by argument, and what it means today to have a recognisable hand in design. Karla took the two practices where they overlap and where they part ways.
Sven Vranješ works where branding, campaigns, motion and VFX meet, between global brands and the local scene, and treats taste as a filter: rhythm, movement and colour pass through it and come out as layout, tempo and atmosphere. Ante Begić left agency life for an independent practice that runs from visual identities and creative concepts to pop-ups, brand activations, launches and large events, with a network of collaborators in photography, film, styling and production, and stays in every phase of a project. Both studied visual communications at the School of Design in Zagreb, and the evening kept returning to that shared starting point and the very different roads out of it.

Fashion Talks is the conversation series Holographik Space has run since May 2025. The guests so far: Nikola Filić and Deni Horvatić, Barbara Janković and Ivoje Stepić, the stylists Ana Nikačević and Petar Trbović, the photographers Franjo Matković and Matej Jurčević, and now Ante Begić and Sven Vranješ.
Entry is always free and there is no reservation, which is why the floor fills early. The next edition will be announced here on the news page, on Instagram and in the newsletter below.
